Flawless

Imagine a tri-drive kenworth made of carbon fiber and moon beams. Thats what this frame haul's weight like. Best purchase I have made period.
Double Tough
From S.Jones of Helena, Montana on .
I waited to tag a bull this archery season to give an honest review. The duplex lite frame w/22 mag performed flawlessly. The sewn in meat shelf was angled when in meat hauling mode but didn’t seem to matter as far as comfort and security. The pack blew the competition out of the water when loaded 100# plus for comfort. Made the pack out much less tiresome, and ready to do it all over. The pack is built double tough, and I have no worries of failures in the woods. I will be recommending kifaru to my friends (fellow elk hunters)! Worth every penny for sure.
Great frame.

I've had the lite frame for over a year now with the reckoning bag. I've used it mostly for backpacking with my family to carry most of the gear, a few hunts, and many solo backpacking trips. I never thought I'd spend this much on a pack, but it has been amazing. I'm 145 lbs, 5'9" and I carry 70+ lbs, and it is nowhere near as miserable as carrying my old kelty pack. It's been well worth the money and it will definitely last a long time. Aaron Snyder was super helpful when I purchased it. He walked me through everything when buying frame and helped me pick the right settings for my build. Will be recommending to people and purchasing products in the future.
I fell in love
From Mick Thiessen of Lethbrudge, Alberta on .
After using a sub par pack for one season the switch to this was like winning the lotto. After a quick phone call I had my measurements nailed down and everything laid out as far as fit and finish. The load stays put, no shifting no sliding nothing. The waist belt fit right out of the box and continues to feel solid yet comfortable. The shoulder strap fit is also top notch. While I'm a fairly skinny dude (6'1" and 150) they do exactly what they should, no slipping off the body or feeling like your shoulder will rip out.
Carries heavy weight beautifully
From Sean A. of Mancos, Colorado on .
I bought this pack for my first big game hunting trip. I was 3 miles in the backcountry of the San Juan NF, and packed in provisions for 4 days. I used this frame in conjunction with the Kifaru Quarter Panel, and a 60L Outdoor Research compression dry sack. The frame carried all my gear, about 40 lbs with food and water, not including rifle, comfortably. On my last morning, I found my buck and was able to haul out all 4 quarters, ribs and head in a single 3 mile trip. I returned for my gear on a second trip. My deer was a young spike, so by no means a trophy, but heavy nonetheless. I was tired, but this pack made the haul so much easier! I can't imagine my Osprey would have carried the weight that well. No issues with seams or fabric tears as I bushwacked through the pinion and juniper. I'll be a Kifaru owner for life. I'll be looking to purchase a Nomad 2 pack for this frame for the 2019 season, and the rifle carrier. Not having the rifle carrier cost me a buck opening morning when I couldn't unsling my rifle in time.
Nearly perfect
From Zach T of Boise, Idaho on .
I've used and tried several competitor packs, and for me this frame is hands down the most comfortable. Best belt and lumbar pad that I've personally tried. My only complaint is that there isn't an elevated position to hook in the load shelf. It only hooks in at the very bottom, and for the 26 inch frame if you're using a day pack size bag that means that your load shelf isn't even level, it's slanting down. Given that this is marketed heavily as a hunting pack this seems like a significant oversight to me. I can't imagine it would be difficult for the designers to include two sewn in common loops higher up on the frame to run the load shelf level or elevated.
Other than that, I'm loving this frame.
Never need another frame
From SR of Eagle River, Alaska on .
Got this frame to go with the new Muskeg pack & Kifaru hit a home run with this one. After multiple Alaska hunts from the rain forest to the mountains I have been nothing but impressed. The frame works exceptionally under load and offers comfort and support as expected. I was impressed with how fast the shoulder and hip pads would dry out after extended hours in rain storms as well. You will not regret purchasing this frame!
Kifaru Ultralight Frame
From Ethan Groenig of Boise, Idaho on .
I had ordered both the Kifaru Ultralight frame and an EXO pack and was going to compare the two of them. I got my ultralight frame yesterday and it is hands down the best pack I have ever picked up. The new design is flawless, and completely blows the EXO pack out of the water. I have read a lot of comments about people trying to decide between EXO or Kifaru, and I would say Kifaru beats them in every way possible. Nicer hip belt, better frame design, better fabric, even the little things like the new load lifter options being redone on the new bags so they are all on the outside of the bag with no holes. Everything about these new frames is perfect. I would highly recommend going with a Kifaru pack over anything else.
Loving my Duplex Lite and Ultralite frames
From Anonymous of Olympia, Washington on .
I am very impressed with the new Lite and UL frames. Kifaru hit it out of the park as far as I’m concerned. They both carry loads up to 80# identically for me, the difference is only your ability to tighten down the lateral compression straps, and it flexing/pulling the frame sheet material. The Lite obviously can take more of a load on the compression straps without flexing, but I will likely hunt more in the UL for the weight savings. I feel like this frame carries better than my Hunting Duplex and noticeably more comfortably than my Bikini frame. I don’t see either of them getting much use in the future.
Two thumbs way up!
From Kyler Widmer of Garnavillo, Iowa on .
I was reluctant to switch from my beloved Duplex frame. I could not be more happy with the new Duplex Lite. It's rigid, lightweight, tough as nails, and even more comfortable for my back profile. I have Scheuermann's kyphosis and comfort isn't a luxury for me, it's a must. This frame is a home run. Well done guys.
