delivers plenty of volume for extended hunts. Its 5,200 cubic
inches can be enhanced with the optional Top Lids, extra-long lid
straps for piling gear on top, and lash/compression straps top,
sides and bottom. It appears similar in volume to the standard
Timberline, but is minus the snow collar.
Top Lid Options:
Adds an additional 1,200ci to any of our Duplex Packs. With
ample volume for puffy jackets, food, and emergency supplies, you
can leave your camp gear behind as the Guide Lid conveniently
converts into a day pack using built in shoulder straps much like
our current E&E pack.

This pack is the best I have owned! Previous packs such as Cabelas and Badlands do not even compare. I highly recommend this pack, I love that you can semi custom the pack to your needs with all the different pockets.
Needs more Love for price
From Jude Olivas of Huntington Beach, California on 12/17/2016.
Purchased this through a recommendation from someone with back problems like me. The pack frame carries very well but the pack itself needs some "Love".It seems for the price it would have a few more little compartments to place small items on the pack itself. As it sits, it is like a big stuff sack. This is where I say it needs some love. The construction seems to be adequate. I will see in time. Maybe place some small pouches on outside or inside of pack sewn in place to store small hunting necessities.I don't want to have to purchase a bunch of small storage things to place inside of the pack with an additional charge. Being that this pack cost $250+ dollars I think they could spare the little extra Love.

Great for just a day hunt or packing in. Has tons of room, lots of pockets and extra room of add on pockets.

This bag is great. It has all the compartment a hunter would want along with plenty of room to carry out all four quarters and extra meat of a mule deer.

Too expensive… These were the words that many used when I told them I was going to be getting a pack from Kifaru. Once I received this pack along with the hunting frame and guide lid, those words meant nothing. The build quality of this pack is unbelievable. The design is just plain simple and tough! Also the fit of the frame was nothing short of custom. I first used this pack on a spring bear hunt. I harvested a nice bear and packed it out with no problems at all. The bear seem nowhere near exhausting the weight capabilities of this bag. Since then I have used this bag while training and hike consistently with 70-80 lbs in it. It handles this with no issue. It is so nice to know that I saved up and spent the extra money on a pack that will last!

The timberline 2 is a solid bag, I especially like the basement access for your sleeping bag, and the bungee cord which holds a tripod great and keeps it accessible. A well thought out bag that works for a lot of different applications. I like to carry a load panel as well and top it off with the guide lid. This allows a lot of flexibility in the field.
There is not a better pack on the market!!
From Richard Gonzales of North Ogden, Utah on 6/7/2016.
This is my second purchase from Kifaru International! I tried their pack on at the 2016 Western Hunting and Conservation Expo. That night I sold all my packs that I owned and purchased my frame and pack. Hands down the best and most comfortable I have ever owned. Durable and universal options are endless. I won't own another pack after loading antler on my pack and I can't wait to put an elk in it this season! Thank you Kifaru!
From Boly of Ogden, Utah on 1/5/2016.
I bought this bag to replace the T2 pack I owned before. I love this new bag. It seems I have more room and things just seem to fit better. I especially like that it also seems to compress smaller than the T2. I was only able to put in a few hunts before our season ended but I look forward to using it more shortly with the turkey season.
Pockets for days!
From David of Placitas, New Mexico on 11/16/2015.
I really like how many pockets this pack has because I am an organization freak. The spotting scope pockets are nice for quick access to jackets if you don't have a scope. The pockets in the front are enormous and I never filled them up. The pack compresses very well for day hunts, I never felt it was too bulky. Paired with the new Hunting Platform Frame this is the finest pack on the market.
From Josh of Bonners Ferry, Idaho on 8/14/2015.
I bought the Timberline 2 with the Duplex Platform Frame and numerous pouches (I'm an organizational junkie) primarily for elk hunting in North Idaho, but also year round backpacking trips. It is an awesome pack! A little on the heavy side compared to others, but that is because of the solid construction and I believe it will last my lifetime. This pack is very comfortable so far. I have not packed an elk yet, hopefully this fall, but have done several short trips with it loaded around 50 lbs and it was very comfortable, I'm sure it will handle more than I can carry. If you like organization and versatility, I don't think there is a better system than what Kifaru offers, whether with this pack or others and all of their different pouches, you can create a completely custom set up that is flexible, rugged and comfortable!
From Micah Somes of Omak, Washington on 11/24/2014.
Perfect bag for any occasion love the versatility and the quality is second to none! Excellent customer service and would highly recommend Kifaru to anyone.
6/11/2016 – Does this pack allow for additional pockets? Does it also allow for an optional bow carrying system, and if so can you recommend . . .
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Hi David,There is molle webbing on the lower right and left sides of the pack so you are able to add belt pouches, water bottle pockets, or small side pockets. For attaching a bow to the pack, our Grab-It II works great.
