Lives up to the name
From Dave of Talkeenta, Alaska on .
This bag lives up to its name, Escape and Evade. Its not a ruck pack. Water, mags, extra medical and a 320 grenade launcher (minus stock) all fit in here. Shoulder straps tuck into the back to get out of the way. This flew everyday with me downrange and no worse for wear. Add as much junk outside as you like with the molle. I wish the cinch straps weren't sewn into the bag, but minor gripe compared to performance and usage. A small bag to help survive the fight a bit longer.
Well made, but it sticks out like a goiter
From Anonymous of Usa, Colorado on .
Not a very handy item for a "day pack". Best use is a ammo pouch for mags to toss in the back of the truck. Expensive one to. It is too short. Should be at least 18 to 20" long and cover more of length of back. As is, it sticks outlike a goiter. Can't believe they still sell this as is.
Epic EDC/Travel/Flight Bag
From WhaleKoch of All Over, England on .
If you're looking for a small capacity, 'bombproof' and really 'usable' pack - you've found it!!!
Gen. 1 was awesome and Gen. 2 even better - my G1 will outlast me, but I had to have a G2... :)!
Untouchable build, robust design and smart scale-ability the E&E is my default 'to hand' range, office, travel, city explore, short hike and 'throw in the wagon' bag.
Quick, easy and reliably attached to large MOLLE/PALS platforms my E&E has been at home on larger (GG CHIEF/MR/PLCE) and Medium (MR Overload/Kif. Zulu/TAD) Pack with no issue and countless Rigs/Carriers...
Yep, the basic straps aren't for heavy loads - that's not what the E&E is about... simple, rugged, modular, practical and agile... if the straps aren't working you're asking too much from this awesome piece of kit!
Quality, but uncomfortable
From Alex B of Provo, Utah on .
High quality construction, but as someone else mentioned, horribly uncomfortable. Even with the padded straps, it hangs too low and too loose. It works better as a hand bag than a backpack. I do like the way it opens, but the fact that I can't wear it comfortably is a big downer.
Awesome little pack!
From Joseph Nixon of Orlando, Florida on .
Great for carrying your Essentials on summer day hikes. This is my second Kifaru E&E. The first one is going strong and will probably never wear out. But I wanted one in coyote brown as well. I use it for summer bicycle commuting. It is great for that, it's so lightweight that you can barely tell it's on your back.
E&E bag 5, E&E straps 1
From Tony Rugys of WoodsPoint Victoria, Australia on .
bag is superb, but the shoulder straps are atrocious even with the padded straps it is not comfortable at all does not hang properly no matter how it is adjusted. "Kifaru" it is its only down fall, but a bad one.
Amazing!!

Everything I expected
From Anonymous of Henderson, Nevada on .
Great little pack with room for expansion. I added the X-ray shoulder straps and couldn't be happier.
one year later
From travis duarte of centre, Alabama on .
of the last year, I have carried this pack about 320days on bases in AFG and my R&Rs. It has been the most versatile EDC pack I have ever owned. Paperwork, food, first aid, wet weather gear. Does it all at once with a few added kifaru options. My one and only issue that makes it 4 stars is that it is not the same size as the back pouch it was designed after. I can get my 14.5" laptop in the back pouch but not the E&E. Other than that this pack is #1 in its class for size, price, and quality. add-ons are 2 mini long pockets, med belt pouch. In winter old school back pouch or long pocket.
Great for kids
From Charlie moody of Louisville, Mississippi on .
I have two boys that are 4 and 5 years old. I folded the shoulder straps and stitched them up to make them shorter. They absolutely love them. Finally a pack that rides like it should. They refuse to go outside without their "survival" packs. The only problem is when I asked them if I could borrow one for a deerstand day pack they both replied, "get your own".
PRS
From Z.O. of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on .
I had been using my Marauder for literally everything travel/camping/range and got tired of clearing out all of the molle shooting gear for fear I might go through TSA with a piece of brass or a knife I forgot in a pouch. So I took stock of what I used in competitions (PRS) and figured I would be giving up nothing by going down a size to the E&E. It fits everything I use within a match in a much more manageable size, which is nice because when packed full, it makes for a very stable front rest in 3 distinctive heights (L/H/W). I wish it was full molle on the inside like my marauder, but its not so much of a con to lose a star.
Great bag
From Conrad Cooper of Dunwoody, Georgia on .
The Kifaru E&E is a great bag. I use it as a standalone bag right now and it is great in that role. I use it to carry fishing gear in my kayak. It's small size is perfect for stowing near my feet inside the cockpit. Looking forward to using it while hunting this fall
Great Day to Day bag
From Shayne of DPO, Armed Forces Europe/Middle East/Canada on .
I use this bag every day in Israel and have used it for international travel. It handles heavy loads well for it's small size with even weight distribution.
Using MOLLE, I have attached an IFAK and a nalgene 32oz water bottle holder. With those and a bike lock and all my regular day gear it is still comfortable to wear.
It fits easily under the seat in planes when I've had ipads, headphones, kindles, etc. and has come in handy when we've traveled. I highly recommend this pack.
Great little pack
From Ryan Trexler of Deering, New Hampshire on .
Great pack for quick trips and light day hikes. Very well made and could almost pull double duty as a child's back pack since its small, light weight and tough. I plan to use mine for fly fishing some mountain streams I like as soon as the New England weather breaks.
Very nice supplemental bag
From Benjamin Duncan of Germantown, Maryland on .
My Urban Zippy gets more EDC time, but the E&E is great for shopping trips, quick trips to the playground, etc. where a fully loaded Zippy isn't ideal. I can throw in a 12" Dell XPS 12, a first aid kit, a spare diaper and wipes for my youngest, a 32 ounce Nalgene and a few other odds and ends and throw it over my shoulder and head out the door. For me, it's a perfect "purpose packed" bag. For a movie with the kids, it's full of snacks, a change of clothes, spare diaper, etc. For a quick trip where I may need mobile office capability, it carries an ultrabook, a mouse, cables, hard drive and whatever else I may need. It always carries a first aid kit, sanitizer and wipes, a flashlight, etc. and, even fully loaded, it's small enough to go anywhere.
Small EDC
From jim of Bend, Oregon on .
After kicking around several different packs for both EDC and BOB, I bought-in fully to Kifaru's modular approach to packs. My E&Es (two, I was evaluating color) were a trial in exploring the smaller Kifaru's for the perfect EDC (for me). The E&Es are the highest quality small pack I have seen - outstanding materials - expertly designed - carefully sewn. They are unobtrusive, ride easily, carry a huge amount for their size, dock to a larger host very easily, and the precise rectangle is really easy to pack and then fit into places. Many of Kifaru's accessories that are more at home in a larger pack work in modular fashion on the little E&E. I ran a minimally loaded organizer outside, one more taxed inside, My own Velcro panel insert and an L&L 10 also inside. I did try some 1Qt pockets on the side - didn't care for them - destroyed the simplicity and made the shape a little awkward - also evaluated mini-longs - better, but still a little awkward. I did swap out the straps for the optional X-Ray straps (I was careful with how I cut and got a local seamstress to tack 2" tribars onto the original straps so I can put them back on for air travel). Either strap is comfortable.
I should mention that I was running an HPG OKB at the same time I was running the E&E. The HPG OKB held everything that would have been in my pockets or waist-band and the E&E carried everything else (as an older guy, it is so nice to be running around with my pockets empty). I have a Koala Lite and it would have worked fine, but I like the HPG "H" strap.
In the end, I benched the E&E as an EDC because it was just a little too small, didn't scale up as well as the Scout (side pockets, rolls, Grab-It) and wouldn't work with an Omni Belt when scaled up. A key factor was that it would not handle even my smallest laptop. The X-Ray was too big for my typical EDC needs. Did not try an Antero. Using a Scout for EDC now - liking it. EDC is not just a container for me - I walk with it. The belt is heaven.
Because I believe in Kifaru's modular system, I don't really want to own multiple EDCs - the HPG OKB docks to the Scout (when behaving as luggage) and the Scout Docks to an X-Ray for BOB or for travel and to a Loco for local hauling. Everything I needed for EDC is still with me for BO, travel, or anything else. That is as it should be in a modular system. I want to be adding on or swapping out modules to the changing system, not repacking the stuff inside.
Nevertheless, I kept the E&Es for now because they work so cleanly for docking and carrying for air travel - still working to make air travel and modularity all work perfectly with the Scout. E&Es are simply great small packs.
Versatile Pack!
From Steve Hochstetler of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on .
This has met my expectations. The pack handles 30 lbs. with no problem. Paired with a 500 light long pocket really expands the capability of the pack. Next on my list are some mini longs and a few pull-outs!
My favorite pack
From JZ of Santa Cruz, California on .
The E&E is my favorite all around go-to pack! From personal every day use to rugged field work in harsh conditions this pack is there to tackle the task. An excellent pack from a company that excels in the field!!
Solid
From Anonymous of Columbus, Ohio on .
Very sturdy little pack. As an add-on pack to a larger ruck, it could hold-up to the same punishment as any mil-spec pack. Double-check those dimensions before you purchase or you might be surprised by the size- it is very small; like a toddler's backpack. It works well as it is designed and intended: a supplemental pack that can detach from a larger kit for a very light-weight E&E bag. It's not what you're looking for if you want an everyday pack.
WELL MADE PACK
From Jeffrey Veach of Chesterton, Indiana on .
This is a very simple, but well made pack. It can not handle that much weight but that is not its purpose.
great pack however
From travis duarte of centre, Alabama on .
Great pack for my everyday work carry. However it is not as large as the old back pouches I was using on my marauder for my laptop like I was hoping. the female buckles also don't come off their loops to reattach on the pack for pull down movement. I also wish the back panel door had a zipper on it to make it an extra paper storage area like some of the other packs. That said this pack is wonderful and easy to make suit your day to day needs its almost like the mini Marauder pack I was hoping it would be. I added a medium belt pouch to the back, mini long to one side and an odd mag pouch to the other for my coffee cup. This pack is great to carry for post checks and my wet weather an eyepro will fit plus room.
Great Little Pack
From Robert Leunis of Deurne - Antwerp, Belgium on .
I received my E&E today after two weeks since the order date. Normally we must pay duties for purchases made outside of the EU, but for some mysterious reason the package got through customs without notice and got delivered zero duties paid. When I opened the box, I was a bit scared that the pack would be too small to hold my merchant navy documentation, ipad mini, work glasses, and some other items, but everything went in without any hassle. The pack is extremely well made, the foliage green colour is beautiful, inside there is a small pocket and the standard straps are just fine, as I would never use the padded version carrying an Ortlieb Sea Bag. The straps will only be used during transit in a foreign airport. The zipper is sturdy and the connectors are tough as nails. Next week I try the pack in Namibia when I go to my ship. But I'm pretty sure that I made a very lasting purchase. Thank you for the good service and maybe till next order (Eyeing the Express for holiday use only) ....
E&E pack is amazing
From Ivan of Overland Park, Kansas on .
The E&E backpack just keeps on amazing me. The quality is top notch. The padded straps are a must have. I put in my water bottles, iPad mini, my lunch, a magazine, my shemagh and a kifaru pocket and it fits! I own many packs from: tactical Taylor/ mil spec monkey, maxpedition, tad gear and eagle industries. This little pack rides the best on my back. The padded shoulder straps just work perfect for my body type. Overall I'm very impressed and super happy with this purchase. Thank you Kifaru!
E & E Bag
From Tim Thomas of Highland, Indiana on .
The bag is a good size for every day carry, or mounted to my Navigator full sized ruck...
It has an easy mounting system that can easily attach this small pack to the larger or be stowed to allow it to be used and carried on it's own. It also has good shoulder straps, that can easily be stowed in itself, to prevent snagging on other gear...
Great Small Bag
From Anonymous of St Petersburg, Florida on .
Fantastic, well-made bag. It definitely performs larger than it appears. I opted for the padded straps and couldn't be happier. Great features, multiple connection points and superior durability. I highly recommend this product.
easily meets all expectations
From Jonathan Clifton of Sydney, NSW, Australia on .
If you are reading this then you probably are aware that Kifaru has a really good reputation for high quality gear. The E&E (the first Kifaru product I have bought) easily met the high expectations I had.
Its great to find, and buy from, a company which puts quality over quantity, reputation and repeat business over bottom line, and builds things to last.
I'll be recommending them where possible, and buying gear from them again when needed.
Cheers!
Great Little Go Bag
From Andrew Nielsen of San Jose, California on .
Bought this bag as a go bag for various gear but it quickly ended up becoming my daily carry for my MacBook Air and other electronic gear that I take to and from work. Fits the mac great (with or without a padded case and all the cables and junk that comes with it. It's also small enough that I can carry it on my back when I ride my GSXR to work.
I would highly recommend the backpack strap upgrade as they are really comfortable.
Great bag for a great price.
Kifaru E&E
From Anonymous of Mounds, Oklahoma on .
Was looking for a pack for a long time. They were either too big, too small or not suited to what I needed. The E&E is PERFECT. I carry it everyday and am always in and out of it to get components for my work. Construction is stellar and shipping was fast. Couldn't be happier. This little pack does everything I need it to do and I like the ability to add things on if my needs change. Excellent purchase.
Great Daily Work Pack
From Rex of NoVa, Virginia on .
I use the pack everyday for work. I carry an iPad and keyboard in a Pelican case and sometimes my 10.5 notebook computer. With just the iPad, I can also fit a raincoat or my lunch.
I'm an amateur photog and used the pack to shoot the USMC Marathon. The pocket between the the pack and my back held my 70oz water bladder perfectly. The pack was perfect for my extra gear and was my first real test of the pack.
I started with the regular web shoulder straps, but bought the padded straps, too. The web straps were comfortable for the amount of weight I carried, even with the water bladder. The only reason I switched to the padded straps, is the web straps got twisted when I went to put on the pack. Not much of a reason, but I already had the padded straps, so I used them. Issue solved.
I have the organizer pocket, which extends the capacity and
lets me organize my smaller items. The pack came with a chamber pocket, but I got extras. I have them inside with some of my additional gear that I don't use all the time.
The E&E is a good size for daily use and I like the heavy duty zipper, even on this small pack. Would definitely recommend to others.

This is your true BOB.
From Hektoer of Marysville, Ohio on .
This 'pouch' is easily enough to fit your true emergency essentials for a bugout bag. I personally keep a BOB with me all the time. Since buying this, I have changed my layout and use this for the essentials (5 C's; cut, combustion, container, cordage, cover) and then a secondary larger pack for food/bag/extras and/or winter supplementals if I have the inclination to take it. Just dock it onto the bigger pack and I am ready to go.
It is the same size as the back pouch, but has a different zipper location/length and all the other items. Use pics of the back pouch for comparison. G-hooks are a nice alternative to the SRB's as well.
Love this lil e&e!!

Had to buy it again
From Anthony of PHX, Arizona on .
Had the original a few years ago, was really sad to sell it and had to get another one. Great size for my daily needs and built like a tank. Quality and attention to detail are amazing and Kifaru puts out great products.
Right now using it as a laptop bag along with the "Organizer Pocket" for my other essentials. Planning on carrying this along with my X-Ray for a trip to Europe for my camera gear. Thanks Kifaru!
Excellent EDC pack
From Joseph Coleman of Fort Worth, Texas on .
Just received my all MultiCam webbing E/E and it's the Best EDC pack you can get out there. I carry everything in this pack. GLOCK 19/17 with mags And anything else. I've added the 1000D MC organizer and two MC GPS's pockets. All I say is AWSOME!!!
Excellent EDC pack.
From Mark S. of Naples, Florida on .
I love this pack. Holds everything I like to carry for daily use contained in three Chamber Pockets and the Kifaru Organizer Pocket. Compartmentalizing by need keeps everything handy so I never need to waste time digging for anything. Personal items like sunglasses, aspirin, tide pen, epi-pen, check book, etc in one chamber pocket, work items like pens, pencils, USB thumb drive, charging accessories, USB cables in another pocket, and finally my worst case scenario pocket contains fire making materials, para-cord, multitool, fixed blade knife, and first aid items. The only accessory I feel it needs is an external bottle pouch that holds a 32 oz water bottle.
One great pack!
From jimmy of Dutch Harbor, Alaska on .
I've had this bag about 7 months now. I'm really in love with this thing, its simple, tough, and very practical, it has found a place in many different aspects of my life. In my day to day existence, i treat it like a purse, it holdes all my edc essentials and random tools i might need at work, i use it as a small gym bag "big enough for what i take", its a great day pack for hiking, and if you do the ultra light camping thing, i've found its just large enough for the bare necessities as an over night pack.
The pack its self is very well built, the fabric its made of is very robust, i dont worry about pointy objects causing trouble. One other thing i really like about its design is that when it opens, you can see the complete contents of the bag, so no blind reaching!
One last thought, i'm a former grunt, and a two deployment combat vet, most of the work i did was dismounted, and i carried a small jansport bag on my back with a few extra mags, spare medical, water, batteries, etc. it was good enough, but man oh man i wish i had had this bag with me!
The most versatile and useful bag I own!
From Harry of Savannah, Georgia on .
I just want to take a minute and say how wonderful this little bag from Kifaru is. I've used mine for years, both in the field, and in civilian life. It's the perfect size for a grab-n-go bag. Whether you use it for tactical "mission essentials" or just a few books and snacks as your flight carry-on, it's a great bag. I love mine.
This Pack Rocks!
From JC of Honolulu, Hawaii on .
I ordered my E&E along with the optional shoulder straps about three years ago as an attachment to my G2 Pointman. At first I was just excited about using it as a modular pouch, but only after field testing it, did I Truly become aware of its capabilities. It fits securely anywhere on your other pack. The straps stow away in a pocket that doubles as a hydration port. It straps on securely to your back and makes a killer day pack. It is just big enough to fit everything you ACTUALLY need. But if you want more space...it's a MOLLE pack, so just add some pockets. I've even strapped a small POD to it and used it for a few one-nighters. I use it every day, but have also used it while rappelling, hunting, hiking, camping, climbing, parkour, traveling abroad, and conquering some of the toughest terrain this planet can throw at you.
Bottom line. If you want small, light-weight pack that will never leave you asking for anything more, this pack is for you.
