Love it/hate it
From Ty Berry of Malad, Idaho on 1/6/2017.
Out of everything on my new pack set up the grab it is the most frustrating. It seems to be an after thought; as the adjustment on the bottom seems to be on the wrong side. The finished fit seems to be "just where ever". Having said that it will perform very well with a heavy load as people with more knowledge and experience are the designers. I think for myself I would like a half size cargo panel with either adjustment on the bottom outside or just a fixed system such as a k-clip and the ability to lengthen or shorten from the top. Once again the quality of craftsmanship and fabrics are fantastic.

I added the Grab-it to my nomad pack. worked like a dream Packing out my bull. Well worth its weight in gold...hell it'll carry the gold too!
All around perfection
From Jason of Redmond, Oregon on 9/14/2016.
I've used the grab-it to hold my bow, decoy, blind, and even a quarter from an elk. The grab it is very strong and is a great way to keep your hands free if needed and provides extra storage if your pack is full. I highly recommend this accessory to all kifaru packs.
From Chris Fredrickson of Price, Utah on 6/16/2016.
I bought the Grab-It and quickly realized that this thing has many functions. I have used it to carry out sheds and wet rain jackets and will be using it to carry my bow this year on my archery hunts. I am sure that I will be able to continue to find many functions for the Grab-It. This is a great product to help you carry items that you either don't want to carry inside your bag or are to large/bulky to carry inside your bag.
From Aaron of Plover, Wisconsin on 6/9/2016.
I love the Grab-It. It is one of the most functional pieces of gear I've ever had. Whether you want to haul more stuff, awkward stuff, or just cinch everything nice and tight, this piece just plain ol' works. My only suggestion would be to design it in such a way that belt loops could be added in order to add pouches to it. Either way, highly recommended.
Great Load hauling
From Matt McNabb of Borger, Texas on 6/6/2016.
I picked this up to haul my bow while hiking in the mountains, as well as odd size items when backpacking. I haven't gotten out with it much but it mounts perfectly and there is no doubt this will be great for hauling stuff when any need arises.
From Benjamin Duncan of Germantown, Maryland on 3/14/2016.
This is one of those items I picked up on a whim and now consider indispensable. I have one on my Urban Zippy and it makes an already perfect bag that much better by allowing me to quickly stash things like kids' jackets, a stuffed animal, a bag of snacks or whatever, without ever having to open a pocket or compartment on the bag. On the Zippy, I used two slotted female buckles as anchors to the bag, that allow me to quickly unsnap the Grab-It for access to the back of the bag or the side pockets.
Tool as simple and useful as a wedge
From jim of Bend, Oregon on 3/12/2016.
Creates a space on my pack where I can stuff almost anything in a hurry. I keep one permanently mounted on the X-Ray that is standing by as my Go Bag. I keep a modified one folded up and tucked inside the Scout that is my EDC. It straps and snaps in place quickly when I need to carry a bulkier jacket, bigger gloves, boots, three ring binder, whatever won't fit in the Scout (uhh, one or two of these items - not all).

Used this to strap my bow to back of EMR II bag after filling the bag with cow elk meat for pack out.
From Boly of Ogden, Utah on 1/5/2016.
I had the older version on my T2 pack and was a little disappointed when it showed up with only the one additional compression strap. I did find that it is longer than the original and will cinch better so I think that will be a non issue. I haven't used it much yet but I will be carrying my ground blind turkey hunting in a few months.
Grab it ll
From george wilkins of willits, California on 12/28/2015.
So, I purchased this for the urban zippy that I have. This is a great add on. very useful for a bulky jacket. It will also easily carry a collapsible snow shovel. Without adding some hooks to the sides you have to use attachment points on the top of pack. This means that you have to un-clip the top straps in order to access the inside of the pack. This does not bother me one bit. The pack and grab it ll are a fantastic combo. A really wonderfully made and functional edc bag.
Grab it II
From Lance Harris of Clearfield, Utah on 11/30/2015.
SO easy to pack your bow or extra equipment with. I like how easily you can take it off and put it back on when you need it. Good job Kifaru!
From Eric Fink of Wonewoc, Wisconsin on 11/16/2015.
Nice add on, works as described. Sure is nice how it works in conjunction with the Nomad for carrying anything bulky you get it around!
From Adam of San Diego, California on 10/9/2015.
Only used it for a few weeks but I like it so far. It attached no problem to my older Timberline pack. I've mostly been using it to cart a small stool with me on day archery hunts on public land. So far that works great. It keeps the stool cinched up tight and keeps it from moving around.
Awesome way to hold bow
From Brett Robertson of Oshkosh, Wisconsin on 9/28/2015.
I used this in conjunction with the duplex frame and AMR. It worked great to keep my bow held securely in place, no issues on our 4 mile hike to camp. It didn't make the bow taller than my pack to it would hit branches etc while hiking. 35" axel to axel Mathews bow. Absolute must to have!
From Anonymous of Basrah, Iraq on 9/26/2015.
Good upgrade from original, allowing more bulky items to be carried (helmets, cold / wet weather gear, ammo, supplies, etc) quick to attach and have upgraded mine with K-clips - reduces bulk, stronger than plastic buckles and quicker to use.
Grab It II
From M Hattaway of Overland Park, Kansas on 9/18/2015.
I like the concept of the Grab It. It worked well for carrying my jacket or rain gear but fell short when I tried to secure my Hoyt Spyder. The anchor points on my Late Season pack were too low allowing the bow to shift well past vertical, hanging off my right shoulder. Any words of wisdom? My Colorado elk trip was unsuccessful this year so I didn't get to use the Grab It to help haul out a trophy. Maybe next year.
From Tim O. of Spokane, Washington on 8/3/2015.
The new grab it takes functionality to a new level. It's uses are only limited by your creativity when it comes to attaching items on the outside of your pack. I use mine in conjunction with a Highcamp 7000 and it's the ticket!
From Anonymous of boise, Idaho on 8/3/2015.

If you ever want to haul your bow on the pack, this is for you. Works to haul about anything!
Small enough for most packs, strong enough for all.
From inupiat1 of Burien, Washington on 6/19/2015.
I bought this mainly to carry my USMC pith helmet on my packs. It works well for that on my USMC Pack assault pack and the main USMC Pack. I even carried my 56 lbs son in it near the end of a 7 mile hike. I think this is an economic alternative for the cargo panel depending on the size of what you want to carry. I will definitely find it useful on my next hunt!
From Florida Mike of Jacksonville, Florida on 5/24/2015.
Great product. Adds very little weight but a lot of versatility. Totally recommend this valuable tool.
From Luke J of Oldtown, Idaho on 4/24/2015.
Very useful. Using the compression straps to lash down certain items doesn't always work out like you'd hope. The Grab-it II is very useful and something that I use on a regular basis. At the very least I have my rain jacket stuffed into it for quick access. I'd say to consider it for every pack.
From Jason of Redmond, Oregon on 2/13/2015.
The grab it 2 came in handy very well this past year. Great place to put the bow. Also was used to stick an elk quarter when the pack was full.

An easy way to bump up the capacity/utility of your favorite ruck (my Grab-it is currently mounted on my MOLLE Express). An additional bonus: my Multicam Grab-it has essentially re-camouflaged my OD Express. Very nice. Solidly built by the Kifaru Iron Works, as always. QD buckles would have been nice for 'opening' the Grab-it, unless they would compromise its strength. Otherwise, you gotta have it.
8/22/2016 – does the grab-it fit all your packs
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Hi Bob -The Grab-it fits all of our packs except the E&E.
6/19/2016 – Can the grab-it be run on the frame with just the guide lid and lash kit to secure a heavy load?
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Hi Daniel,Yes, you can run the grab-it directly attached to the frame with no additional hardware.
2/16/2016 – What is the difference between the Grab-It and the one listed with a lash kit? Thanks.
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Hi Aaron,The lash kit adds an additional strap to further secure your load above the grab-it ii.
