Rec'd last Friday. Did a test walk (6 miles) this weekend with multi-day kit packed in there. 1-man Tent, Bivvy, AirPad, mini-stove, Tripod stool, Primos GroundBlind, Almost 7 liters of water, Spotter+Tripod, ICOTec eCaller+MojoCritter, 10x42 Monocular, Kill-kit, Medicines, Rangefinder, PocketDigicam, Mouth Calls, Mini Camp Hatchet, wasn't full food but more than enough room for it. And I'm very impressed and happy with how this frame was very comfortable! I had a severe trauma to my Tailbone years ago. My other pack would keep slipping down under load and would end up pressing upon my tailbone and exacerbating that old injury. I'm happy to report this pack kept that pad right on the lumbar where it should be! And it WAY less pushed the shoulder straps into the front of the chest/shoulder area. This pack is only slightly better for airflow on the back. However it was humid and rained on me at mid-point so I had to throw on poncho so that probably made more sweating than per normal. I'm really excited to see how much better this years packout of Mule Deer meat is! I was in serious pain last year due to the poor fit of the other manufacturers lesser pack. It stung the wallet to buy these products, but I know in the end my health will be better protected because of the much much more comfortable fitment!

If you are looking at this you should just buy it, you will not regret it, period. quit looking and buy it already
From JOE H of MAPLEWOOD, Minnesota on 1/30/2017.
Never owned a pack of this quality. The customization is great. It took some minor adjustment out of the box to get the shoulder straps adjusted to get the 3 bar slider located correctly for proper lift angle. I have this on the Tahr with extra pouches and it has been a good set up. Very comfortable, USA made.
From martin flood of beaver, Utah on 1/29/2017.
Loved the new duplex frame. It was set up for me and only required minor adjustments to get it perfect. There are tons of videos to help you totally understand these frames/pack set ups. I have had many other packs/frames and none of them are in the same weight hauling league as the Kifaru.
From CLANTZ of PADEN CITY, West Virginia on 1/29/2017.
AWESOME FRAME AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. WISH I HAD THIS GEAR IN THE MILITARY
Well worth the money
From Robert Fuller of Durango, Colorado on 1/16/2017.
I have used this frame to pack out full elk quarters and then attached the duplex timberline bag to haul out meat, full hide, and horns from a coues deer in AZ. Great pack!
Frame Fits Me Perfectly
From Brooke Smith of Prineville, Oregon on 1/16/2017.
I needed to upgrade my pack not only for hunting, but for the Train to Hunt Challenge. After asking around, Kifaru International kept coming up in conversation. I was able to talk to one of the reps and we figured out what set up was going to work best for me and my needs. I have been running 2 miles a day with this frame, pack and 22 lbs and I love the support it offers my back, it fits my body perfectly, I can cinch it down so that it won't rub or slide around. I would recommend this to anyone. And the customer service is top notch.
Duplex Hunting Frame
From Brandon Carlson of West Fargo, North Dakota on 1/14/2017.
Finally made the purchase of a hunting duplex frame and Mt. Warrior bag. As I've packed some weight (50lbs) in this set-up I can't get over how much more comfortable this is than any other packs I've used which have been a Tenzing 4000, Kuiu Icon 5200 and a Mystery Ranch Metcalf. I'm a firm believer these packs are as comfortable as they are because of the frame..... they've put countless hours into r&d and continue to do so! The Mt. Warrior I think will be the most universal pack I've owned. I'm also surprised on how easy it is to swap bags on these. Truly a universal package and would recommend these to anyone. Words of advice to everyone "THINKING" about buying, SAVE up until you can buy a KIFARU.
Cannot go wrong
From Ty Berry of Malad, Idaho on 1/6/2017.
Out of everything I knew without a doubt that this frame would be exactly what I was looking for even without any previous experience with one and only trying on two others ever. The quality of craftsmanship and materials used is second to none. The adjust-ability is honestly better than anything else I looked into. The ability to handle and distribute weight, honestly is unreal. Right out of the box I made sure it was adjusted correct for me and then put on 130 pounds and went 1.2 miles. The difference from my old setup was amazing. Highly recommend this frame. The shoulder straps and hip belt are constructed with the same attention to detail and quality that you would and should expect. Shoulder straps are perfect. I was worried about the sizing on the hip belt (I went with a small) but after my first late season archery hunt and maiden voyage it was the correct choice. I am 6' 195# with a 33 inch waist.
From Tell Hanes of Broken bow, Nebraska on 12/30/2016.
I bought this frame coupled with the Woodsman pack a couple of months ago, and it is worth every penny!!! Before this pack I had a military surplus USMC ILBE Gen 2 pack and it was nowhere near comfortable with weight in it! The load lifters on this Frame however are amazing! I've used it a dozen times on mule deer hunts with gear for a couple of days, and with 100 pounds in it packing through the hills for cardio, with minimal pressure on my shoulders!
From Anonymous of Gillett, Wisconsin on 12/28/2016.
Bought this frame a couple months ago and I'm loving it. I've only had it loaded down with 30 pounds so far but it's been very comfortable. There is a lot of adjustment the frame itself. I have limited experience with other pack companies but this is the best frame I've had so far. Best of all its made in the USA!!!
From Anonymous of Anthem, Arizona on 12/27/2016.

I have used countless packs and frames from countless brands, both as an Infantryman and while hunting. This is hands down the best load bearing, bomb proof frame on the market. Cannot say enough about this frame! Do yourself a favor and get it now!
From Aaron of Carp Lake, Michigan on 12/12/2016.
Awesome frame. So much more comfortable than the external frame I've been using for the last 8 or 9 years. Carried similar loads and didn't feel the fatigue that I would have with my other pack.
From Jordan Duran of Santa Fe, New Mexico on 12/9/2016.
I've owned this frame for over a year. I have packed out over 5 animals this year with weight varying from 30-140 lbs. The frame is very comfortable. It isn't bulky at all. Do yourself a favor and pick up a Kifaru. The warranty is amazing and the staff will answer any of your questions.
From Bryan Jones of San Angelo, Texas on 11/12/2016.
I have tried 4 different packs elk hunting and this one is by far the best and most comfortable. We hiked about 10 miles in a day of Elk hunting and my shoulders were not killing me at the end of the day. Would highly recommend this pack.
From Anonymous of Scottsdale, Arizona on 11/10/2016.
This is the most comfortable pack I have ever owned. It didn't matter if I had 60# or 20# it is awesome
From Paul Kuphall of Hustisford, Wisconsin on 11/7/2016.
So far I have only used this frame for training hikes but right out of the box I could tell it was way better than any other frame that I have ever used. The way it lifts the load off your shoulders and puts it on your hips is stupendous when hauling heavy loads. The frame itself is very durable and definitely worth the investment.
From David Maher of Cave Creek, Arizona on 11/7/2016.
Love the Pack!!! My last hope to keep hunting after spinal Fusion! Sold two other packs to buy this one....should have bought it from the get go....carries weight excellent...granted I have only carried 40 pounds but I am working up to heavier loads as my back strength returns....I have had four other name brand packs each over $400.. and this pack beats them hands down..other packs were nice but this pack is in another league...
Compared this to the best and chose it
From Jack P of Groton, Massachusetts on 11/6/2016.
I am heading to Alaska for moose in '17 and need to bring in gear and pack out quarters. I had a freighter frame but saw this and Kuiu's offering and decided to give them a shot. I ordered this (with both the EMR and the Mountain Warrior bag) and Kuiu 5200 and StoneGlacier Sky Talus 6900 and filled each with 50lbs and gave each a 1-mile test after thorough adjustment. The Kifaru frame was hands down the winner. I actually liked the Kuiu bag better (separate review) but its frame and particularly the back pad, was just inferior to the Kifaru. The Stone Glacier actually left a sore on my hip. The Kifaru frame had the utility and flexibility that I need and the belt....ohhh the belt. It adjusts so nicely and again its flexibility in terms of attachments and padding are just head and shoulders above the others. So there is a lot of snobbery around this brand. I actually wanted to like the Kuiu more because of the cost and the bag, but I have to say that when I actually put Kifaru to the test, it lived up to the hype and was WELL worth the premium.
From Andy of Albuquerque, New Mexico on 11/6/2016.
I've put a bunch of miles (ca. 150) on this frame over the past 5 months, and I love it. I put a couple belt pouches on it, so all of my essentials are close at hand. My only request for an improvement would be for a lumbar pad that breathes. It's a high abrasion point, so I understand durability is an issue, but surely there's a material out there that fits these criteria. Getting the shoulder straps adjusted (via the buckles beneath the lumbar pad) takes some trial and error, but once that's set, it's an amazing backpacking experience. Load lifters are a game changer.Love it!
Love this frame!
From Evan of Boise, Idaho on 10/25/2016.
I've been rocking this frame and an Argali pack for a few months now, waited to write a review until I had some miles and packed some loads with it. So far this frame has performed great! I made some slight fit adjustments over the first 10 miles or so and now it fits great, rides well, and hauls like a champ! I am 5'10" and ~185lbs and got the 26" frame. In all reality I think I could have done the 24" frame and been fine, but with the load lifter attachment options I have the option to run it like a 22" for moving fast with light trips, or move them all the way up for hauling heavy quarters and gear. Initially I was skeptical about the way the shoulder straps are sewn into the hipbelt, but after a few hundred miles and rough terrain and varying loads they've held up great, no issues. Buy with confidence that you have the frame all others are judged by!
Best of Class
From Todd Barton of Bozeman, Montana on 10/15/2016.
I have used packs from Arteryx, Kuiu, Exo, Outdoorsmans, and more. This frame separates Kifaru from the rest as the best in class. I will never use another pack system again. I can pack 80lbs of gear 6 miles in for a 12 day hunt with a Kifaru frame with no problem where I was DREADING the same hike half way through with 60lbs in a Kuiu pack.
From Troy Neddo of Nampa, Idaho on 10/14/2016.
After using this platform this elk season I wished that I had found it years ago. Although I was not fortunate enough to get any blood on it, I was totally impressed, for the first time since I started using a pack my back was not tired/ stiff after hunting all day. Very comfortable, the belt is nice and wide, very user friendly. I would strongly recommend it, lite weight, cant say enough, it is a sweet pack
From Brian Williams of Portland, Oregon on 10/13/2016.
I have used several different packs for hunting and camping and did not think it possible to hike all day with such comfort. I was skeptical about the pack being worth the steep price. It exceeded my high expectations. Exceptional product.
From Anonymous of Whatcom County, Washington on 10/13/2016.
Excellent Product. Comfortable and worth every penny! I paired it with the Nomad. Even better customer service. Did everything they could to get me my pack before the season started despite the fact that I waited so long to order it. Hauled 2 font elk quarters, backstraps, tenderloins and the heart 7 miles in one trip which I never could have done with my previous pack. Thanks for making a great product!
From Michael Steele of Delta, Utah on 10/6/2016.
I'm not the world's most experienced pack aficionado, but I've used a few and the Kifaru suspension is so far superior to anything I've experienced that it's literally hard to fully describe. This is a great product and I will definitely recommend one to anyone who asks. Worth every penny in my opinion.
From Luv2hunt of Canton, Ohio on 10/1/2016.
Upgraded to this new 26" Frame after having the 24" Timberline 1 with integrated Bikini frame. Definitely worth the upgrade for the heavy hauling. Suggested improvement would be to offer a variable or retractable stay setup for day hunting with light loads, as the 26" is definitely a must for me when heavy hauling can get in the way some sticking up when day hunting in dense areas. Hip bones did get a little sore when hauling heavy - not sure if a gel type cushion in these areas would help. No doubt overall this is as good or better than best system out there.
From Jason Taylor of Redmond, Oregon on 9/30/2016.
solid, strong, comfortable. Kifaru gear is the best I've been able to get my hands on. I won't use any other pack.
Super comfortable frame
From mike wygovsky of trinidad, Colorado on 9/19/2016.
Absolutely the most comfortable frame. I was using a freighter and after a bit my leg would go numb. I packed out a bull recently without any issue. Money well spent.
Well worth the extra weight
From Jason Herrera of San Jose, California on 9/13/2016.
I've been using this pack for about 6 months now and it's been great. The other top of the line hunting packs I have are good. But once you go over 60 things change quite a bit but this one doesn't disappoint. It holds 60-90 pounds far better than the other packs I have. I was hesitant to buy it at first since it does weigh a little more but I sure do wish I bought it sooner. I've been hiking 3 miles twice a week climbing 900 ft in elevation since and it's been holding up well. The straps don't come loose, I've also taken it on a few hunts and its comfortable all day. Well made great design
From PAT POWELL of TRINIDAD, Colorado on 9/13/2016.
Never had a more comfortable frame. Better than Mystery Ranch and Kuiu which I have both
Best Pack Frame On The Market!
From Brian Lund of Salem, Oregon on 9/12/2016.
I recently purchased this pack frame in the 26" version and I am so thankful I did. I killed a nice bull this 2016 on a solo hunt and I was able to pack out ALL meat from my bull, including the head, antlers and cape...a 24 mile total pack out. I couldn't have done this without my Kifaru pack frame. It offers numerous attachment points on top, bottom, and both sides for attaching other Kifaru packs, tensioner straps as well. I could have a meat load attached to the Duplex frame and be on my way in a matter of seconds. Due to the engineering of the Duplex frame, I managed to get my bull out in less than 24 hrs without having meat go bad. Some of my previous packs by other brand names have been noisy, squeaked, and even cause pressure points on my back...The Kifaru Duplex is flawless, extremely quiet and the comfort it offers is quite extraordinary. Fully adjustable to custom fit how you want it to. After packing my bull out I cleaned it off at a car wash and it looks like it is brand new out of the box. Kifaru really nailed it with the Duplex Frame and I can't thank them any more for hand crafting THE BEST pack frame available on the market, thank you Kifaru!
Top of the line pack frame
From Anonymous of Waipahu, Hawaii on 9/12/2016.
Very well designed. I have no complaints about this pack. Hip belt is very, very comfortable. Probably the most important part of the pack.Shoulder straps are easily adjustable for your torso length.Great quality and well thought out. When everything is finally adjusted, it feels like there is nothing on your back. When it is loaded to 50 lbs., it carries the load very well and secure.I have a couple other current pack hauler frames and they are good, but this one is the best. One thing I would like to see besides all the you tube videos of Kifaru's products is a nomenclature page on their site for all the different features and their purposes on the pack. (Attachment points etc.)So much things that Kifaru adds to make the frame so versatile.
From Adam Brinker of Rhodes, Iowa on 8/30/2016.
I had been using another well know pack brand for training. It just did not have the ability to transfer the weight off my shoulders, so 50-55# was my max for me. This frame was a game changer. 50# is now a breeze! I worked up to half my weight- 85# in a Mountain Warrior, something that just wasn't possible before. Thanks Kifaru for a great product and Gritty Bowmen for the awareness.
Thumbs Up for Kifaru!!
From Joshua Horst of Sunol, California on 8/12/2016.
Lifelong Hunter but mostly local deer. Decided I wanted more. Started researching backpack hunting. I literally took up the offer from all the major players to try it and send it back if you don't like it. I used Eberlestock, Badlands, Mystery Ranch, Exo Mountain and finally I spent the money on the Kifaru. Many great packs, but when I put the 70lbs bumbell in the Kifaru I was amazed at how well the hunting frame held the weight. I went for a 7 mile coastal hill hike. No hot spots. This thing rides like a Cadillac. The straps are thick, the pads are plush, the belt cups your hips and just absorbs the weight. I literally was convinced that the money could not be worth it but wanted to "try it out"... Far and above this packs kicks the ass of all the other packs. If your thinking is it really worth an extra $200 bucks! The answer is YES!!
From Nate L of Beaverton, Oregon on 8/8/2016.
Just upgraded from my Eberlestock Blue Widow to the EMR2 with Duplex Hunting Frame. Very Happy with this frame and pack. Few suggestions for customers: If your between belt sizes I would recommend sizing down. I ordered the 34" (I wear a 34 waist) and wasn't able to really snug it up and had to exchange for the smaller size. I also had to lengthen the shoulder straps slightly from how it was sized when I received it. Watch the videos and make sure everything is adjusted perfectly. Making a few small adjustments made a huge difference in comfort for me. Now that I have mine set up it carries extremely well and I'm very pleased with the purchase.
From Joaquin Courtemanche of Shelter cove, California on 7/25/2016.
The reason we adventure off trail is to bring back meat, when you're miles from the truck and have an animal down there is not a better suspension available to help you through the chores ahead. Everyone knows how much pain and suffering is involved in getting an animal packed out, and when you're halfway through all the salesmanship of a company goes out the window, and all that's left is how well a suspension works with your body to limit the damage. I have a few bags for different hunts types and purchased a second frame for my fiance. I honestly believe there is nothing better made no matter the price point.
From Ryley Thill of Johnstown, Colorado on 7/23/2016.
This Frame is awesome, hands down best frame I have ever used and the ease of adjust-ability is amazing! 50lbs with this frame feels like a walk in the park!
From Kory Coffey of bloomfield, New Mexico on 7/20/2016.
I love this pack frame. It carry's heavy loads much better than my previous freighter frame.
Best Frame Around
From Dominic C of Taos, New Mexico on 7/17/2016.
Used with the Apollo pack and was amazing. Everything can be adjusted to fit perfectly. Easy to figure out. Feels snug when adjusted correctly. Not too rigid but strong enough to carry tons of weight. Waist belt is super easy to cinch. Only downside but understandable, is the shoulder straps constantly loosen. Of course this is when carrying 100lbs not 20-30 lbs. Was told I could tie them to stop them from going through the buckle or purchase the locking buckles. Bad part would be no easy loosen or take off when needing to quickly remove. Should be offered in more than 3 basic colors. But function is great and wouldn't purchase a different one!
From Anonymous of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 7/15/2016.
This pack fits great. I fit the pack per the instructions, and everything is right where it should be. Loaded it up with 60lbs, and felt next to nothing. Did my first Ruck run with 60lbs in the pack and everything stayed in place, and held up. Perfect product. You get what you pay for and in this case the pack is worth every penny.
Well built question lumbar pad material though
From Jake DeMelle of Sobieski, Wisconsin on 7/14/2016.
Very well built and comfortable with heavy loads. Love the load lifters. The only thing I don't like is the material on the lumbar pad. for whatever reason it is chafing the crap out of my lumbar region to the point that I have open sores after just a three mile hike. I don't think this would be any issue with a jacket on. But I have never had chafing from other packs, so it might be a fit issue too. Other than that I paired this with the Argali and love the combo on my training hikes. The modularity will be great for different hunts this fall.
Hunting Platform Frame is Great!
From Chris Fredrickson of Price, Utah on 6/16/2016.
The Hunting Platform Frame and Suspension is very comfortable and well built when compared to the other frames and suspension systems I have used in the past from other companies. It is well worth the price! Thanks for making a great product!
From Matt Lillywhite of Farmington, Utah on 6/11/2016.
I only have two complaints about this frame. First off, the straps are custom made for me, but I have more than a foot of loose straps flapping everywhere that get caught all the time in the scrub oak. Secondly I think the waist straps/pads should have pockets in them, but that is just personal preference. Now to the good. This frame is awesome! I have it with the 22 mag and it is pretty bulletproof. The pack I have had for three years is a mid line one from Badlands, and it is great for anything under 5-10 miles and anything less than 30lbs. Problem is, my gear and water inside the pack weighs around 35lbs. When I start finding antlers, the old bag got uncomfortable quickly. When I got this new kifaru pack, I ended up hiking 19 miles the first day I had it. I picked up four decent elk sheds, and eight deer antlers; so not a ton, but a good 30 extra pounds. No lie, this pack felt just as heavy with 30lbs extra weight on it as my badlands did with just my gear. Buying this pack was a little nerve racking- spending $700 on a pack that I knew very little about. Trust me, I wish I would have invested in this lifetime pack years ago. Good work, kifaru!
From Anonymous of Seoul, Armed Forces Pacific on 6/8/2016.
I've been using this frame with the EMR II now for about six months. Must say it is the most comfortable pack I have ever used. I've been rucking for over 13 years and I highly recommend this frame. It's one of the Best!
Amazing and 100% worth it!
From Josh Kaywood of Chattanooga, Tennessee on 6/6/2016.
This thing hauls weight with comfort! I'm running this with the Timberline pack and I am 100% impressed! I have done several 6-10 mile hikes with about 3000 feet of elevation change and 50-60 lbs in my pack. This frame carries it so much better than my other pack systems, which makes those miles so much easier!I am excited to purchase some other bags for this frame for smaller trips! Kifaru is the real deal...I have drank the Kool Aid!
Bikini frame upgrade
From Matt McNabb of Borger, Texas on 6/6/2016.
I originally purchased a used Bikini frame for an upcoming hunt. Upon talking with others and direct advice from Kifaru personnel I jumped in and bought this frame. The load hauling capabilities of this frame are great, there is no doubt I will give out before the frame. I haven't hunted with it but I am training like crazy with it and typically will hike with ~70 lbs in the pack with no issues other than my own muscles giving out and in no reason due to the pack. This is a great frame setup and hopefully I will be testing it out with some meat come September!
From Justin Majors of Bartlesville, Oklahoma on 5/18/2016.
After reading countless reviews, forums, and just flat out talking with everyone I could think of I decided on this frame. I couldn't be happier with my decision. I wanted something that would live up to what it claims and last me a lifetime and so far this Frame is it. Also, I am very grateful I called and talked with a representative before ordering. He gave me a better insight on what size I needed for my body type and I am very glad I took his advice. I also purchased the Cargo Panel, which has been perfect for hauling heavy weight securely so that I can train for my elk hunt next year. Thanks again Kifaru! can't wait to complete the set up with a pack later this year!
Best of the best!!!
From Bob of Ogden, Utah on 5/1/2016.
This is hands down the most comfortable and durable frame made. Carries 85 pounds with ease. I use it with the dt2 bag and can't recommend enough.
Form Fitting and Supportive!
From Eric Stephenson of Crawford, Colorado on 4/24/2016.
The new Duplex Hunting Platform Frame is very easy to adjust (torso length) and very form-fitting. I dialed my frame in a couple weeks ago during a day hike, and tested the setup last weekend while leading an overnight boy scout trip into the Gunnison Gorge. One of our youth experienced a backpack failure, and I ended up carrying most of his gear plus another boy's tent and stove. The Hunting Frame carried the weight (approx 50 lbs) extremely well. This new design hugs my back much better than the old design, and transfers all the weight onto my hips/lower body where it belongs. Excellent design. I trust the frame will prove to be as durable as the older Kifaru designs.
From Anthony Valencia of San Jose, California on 4/18/2016.
This frame is top notch. I have tried on many other frames from different companies and this one is by far the best. The quality is second to none and it is very comfortable. I hike with this pack with a 100lbs a few times a week and I can wear this all day long. I highly recommend it.
From Anonymous of Bedford, Wyoming on 4/11/2016.
I was using a 15 plus year old freighter frame. It works good to haul but not hunt with. I met Aaron at the sheep show and he fit me with one of these and a 50lb weight. I left the booth with one on order. I received in time for shed hunting. I put 30 miles in over the weekend and never missed a beat. I'm 6' 3" and 185 lbs. The lumbar pad and tapered belt make the pack sit right on my hips. Old pack I would have to cinch down to where I couldn't breathe to keep it from sliding down when loaded. Not to mention it has a lot of adjustments to fine tune to your exact build. I wanted to go with the 24" but Aaron talked me into the 26". Man knows his stuff. The extra 2" lift on the stays is worth it being so tall. I was worried it would snag on branches like my old pack. Not so. I was all through pine forests and dead fall and never got hooked. I have the warrior bag with a bunch of add ons for modularity. I can't say enough about the system function, fit, and quantity. I used to dread wearing a pack. Now it's like putting on a jacket. Thanks for the great product.

Best pack ever
From Robert Waldron of Peyton, Colorado on 3/27/2016.
I got this and the EMRII and can't believe how much weight you can carry comfortably. It has tons of options so you can use it for everything from hiking into camp to a day pack while you hunt. I also got the guide lid which makes it even more versatile.
From Jason Crusch of Huntley, Montana on 3/22/2016.
This frame is easy to adjust if need be, and is super comfortable while carrying 75lbs.. This frame blows my old system out of the water, carries a load better and stays put on your back, I really like the lumbar pad and the way the padding is on the frame which allows some air circulation ... Top Notch!
Initial Impression Good
From MARK DUFFY of MADISON, Wisconsin on 3/13/2016.
My initial impressions of the frame system so far is that it is pretty damn comfortable. I just got it this spring so I really haven't been able to beat up on it yet so that is the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five. Ive taken it to the local hill a couple times with just under 70lbs in it and it is by far much more comfortable than anything I have used in the past. I'm looking forward to really testing it this fall on high country mule deer and elk hunts.
From CoonDog of Lake Placid, Florida on 2/29/2016.
Packed out a cow elk shot during bow season in CO. This frame was extremely comfortable. My old aluminum frame pack I used for years would have drove me into the ground... This frame and the EMRII pack was a significant investment, but well worth the money. I plan one bow hunt for elk every year, so I definitely researched the backpack options. Very satisfied with my Kifaru selection.
Best Kifaru frame to date...

I didn't think I would ever find a frame that I loved more than the 26" Bikini, but I was wrong. This frame is superior in every aspect except weight, yet the weight difference is negligible. Buy with confidence.

Great frame, feels like it was made specifically for me. Would highly recommend this product. Best frame I have ever owned.

Most Comfortable Frame on the Market!
From Tj Perez of Phoenix, Arizona on 1/17/2016.
Paired this with my DT1 and I had over a 100 pounds for my first hunt with it this past November Coues deer hunt. This is truly the most comfortable frame I've ever used! The hunting frame is perfect and not too stiff and still flexed a little with the heavy load to contour my back which made the pack out so much easier! Highly recommend this frame and you won't be unhappy with this purchase!TJ Perez
Best Pack ever
From Boly of Ogden, Utah on 1/5/2016.
I bought this frame to replace the T2 pack I owned before. I love this new pack. It is definitely more comfortable and things just seem to ride better. I especially like that it also seems to compress smaller including the DT2 bag better than the T2. I was only able to put in a few hunts before our season ended but I look forward to using it more shortly with the turkey season. Didn't have a chance to carry a load on it yet, just used it in the daypack mode. I found the load lifters seem to rock the pack on my back until I tightened them slightly and poof, comfortable again.

I have used many brands and types of packs in the past, some worked but never flawlessly. This is hands down the best set up I've had. Once again, Kifaru has come through and designed and produced an amazing set up.
The best just got better

Not often do the "new and improved" products live up to the hype. Well the new Duplex Hunting frame DOES! The new shoulder straps and lumbar pad are very, very comfortable. Kifaru quality through-out!
I am really happy with this purchase
From johnny c of Lake county, Illinois on 11/29/2015.
The Frame is worth every penny. Extremely comfortable and very Nice. Weight distribution and carrying big heavy loads feels better with this external frame than the internal frames I was using before. By far the nicest padding set up to rest on my back.
Most Comfortable Pack, Period!
From David of Placitas, New Mexico on 11/16/2015.
This frame is perfect. I originally bought a Mystery Ranch Terraplane and was very disappointed with the level of comfort it provided. The Kifaru was adjusted correctly right out of the box and fit me like a glove. Weight is transferred to the hips almost 100%. The foam padding is plush yet does not slip out of place. The waist belt tightens by pulling straight forward which is much easier than from the side. I also like the different height options for the load lifters. Overall this frame is very well thought out and should serve me well for many years. Thanks to Kifaru for making good stuff right here in the U.S.A.

Really like the comfort. Have used it on a few hikes with 40-50 lbs. Everything feels good. I'm glad they replaced the hard plastic in the shoulder straps from the Duplex frame, with padding. It's much more comfortable on my shoulder blades. I will be using it on a Montana mule deer hunt soon. Can't wait to test it while hunting.
From Eric bender of Bonners ferry, Idaho on 11/8/2015.
Second day I owned this pack I packed 2 elk hind quarters down a rugged 4500' decent I had back pack hunted up the day before. It was the lightest heavy load I have carried and for the first 3-4 hours of the pack out I felt like could have carried more. The last couple of hours in the dark, when we lost the "easy" route, I was glad it wasn't heavier. But over all, very happy with this pack so far. I haven't figured out all the different adjustments yet, but I'm looking forward to putting it to more tests.

Awesome pack frame
From Anonymous of Redding, California on 10/16/2015.
This frame is a big step up from my Gen 1 duplex frame, and a ginormous leap above my old Kelty and Cabelas external frame packs. I used to pack in with the big, heavy, and bulky external frames - taking a lighter day pack along to hunt out of... This new duplex frame is so light, comfortable, and streamlined that I use it for everything now! It packed out two elk in Colorado, and two deer in California and has worked better than expected!
The real deal
From Anonymous of Cedar, Utah on 10/16/2015.
This frame is nearly perfect. Had a Bikini and changed to this new frame with no regrets. It is a great balance of weight and comfort. Easy to adjust and change bags. Plenty of points for straps and such. Wore it for 6 days and was lucky enough to pack a deer with it and it rode very well.
From David Linton of Portland, Oregon on 10/5/2015.
The new duplex frame is yet another success from Kifaru. The frame is easily adjusted to provide that custom fit, and allows for quickly changing bags, quicker than the older model. The new thicker shoulder pads are very comfortable as well.If you are looking for a frame that can comfortably carry heavy weights and still provide a functional design this is the frame for you! Buy with confidence.
8/16/2016 – Im looking at the hunting frame ,for train to hunt .I ordered the Apollo pack and now i need a frame . Im 5"9 around 190lbs . . .
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Hi Joe -I'd go with the 22" frame. The Apollo fits best on the 22" frame, and when performing the TTH Meat Pack you want more load "stabilization" than load "lift" so the 22" frame is the best choice.
8/3/2016 – I'm 6'4", weigh 225 lbs, 34" Inseam and plan to buy the Argali bag. Will the 26" frame work best for me?

6/12/2016 – I am not sure of what the differences are between the hunter frame and the tactical frame. Could you explain the differences? . . .
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Hi David,Our Tactical frame uses a 1/8" thick frame sheet whereas the Hunting frame uses a 1/16" thick frame sheet. The Tactical frame also has a few extra attachment points along the back of the frame. The Tactical frame sheet is brown, and the Hunting frame sheet is black. There are videos on both the tactical frame and hunting frame web pages that outline the differences.

3/2/2016 – I have a waist size of 34.5 but may lose a bit of weight. Do I choose a small or medium waist belt?
