designed for the Zippy and Urban Zippy, the Omni Frame will add
rigidity to the bag and allow for better carrying capability when
need. The Omni Frame will also fit in the water bladder
pocket of any Omni pack.
From Richard Scholl of Bronx, New York on 12/5/2016.
The Omni Frame adds the perfect amount of rigidity in my case to the Urban Zippy. So it ups the quality of this pack from EDC to the perfect weekend warrior for lightweight packs and mountain climbs. IMO
Fantastic with Urban Zippy
From Anonymous of Reno, Nevada on 7/3/2016.
I ordered this because I own the Urban Zippy as an EDC pack and my ONLY complaint about it was that it would slump at my desk when not full. This Omni Frame Sheet takes care of that with almost no weight penalty. Also adds a layer of protection for a laptop. I would consider this frame as absolutely necessary with an Urban Zippy. Fits perfectly, easy installation and super stiff in the right kind of way.

Used omni frame sheet as a frame for my camelbak mil hawg. very minor trimming needed. very comfortable and well made. cheaper than buying a sheet of HDPE comes with stays. One day I'll get a kifaru pack but for now i'm still a broke college student.
Great for the Zippy
From Benjamin Duncan of Germantown, Maryland on 3/14/2016.
Kifaru was kind enough to ship mine attached since I bought it in the same order as the Zippy and I've never had a reason to consider taking it off. I've heard some people complain that, without the frame, the Zippy lacks structure. Given how I've stuffed the main compartment with pullouts, I suspect that there would still be enough structure if I removed the frame, but I like a more rigid back panel on my bags. My Urban Zippy stands upright on it's own, which I like in an EDC bag, and the frame probably helps with that.
It's about time...
From Anonymous of Leesburg, Virginia on 2/22/2016.
This frame was (IMHO) sorely needed for my 'Urban Zippy' pack. My pack replaced a briefcase for EDC. My one con about this frame is that it uses carbon rods, so you cannot change its contour to your personal liking. Overall, I like this frame and consider it a must for those using the Urban Zippy as an EDC pack.
omi frame modification
From SCB of Glendale, California on 2/13/2016.
the non tactical Urban Zippy absolutely needs the structure of this frame. But the carbon fiber stays are overkill and uncomfortable with normal EDC loads. So I just removed them and the frame in this configuration prevents bag droop, is more flexible and has just the right amount of comfortable stiffness to get the job done!
Omni Frame Sheet
From Mike of Brooksville, Florida on 1/3/2016.
I added the Omni frame sheet to my Urban Zippy pack. It worked great! It added the rigidity that I like to my pack. Definitely worth the money.

This makes my Urban Zippy even better. It is now much more comfortable to carry and easier to load up. I highly recommend that you order one if you get the Zippy.
Omni Frame Sheet

I am using the Omni frame sheet in a HPG Tarahumara and it works fine.
From Anonymous of Long Beach, California on 8/13/2015.
I use it when I have ruck plates inside...adds a little helpful stiffness when needed.
From Derek of Seattle, Washington on 6/13/2015.
Really helps stiffen pack up to keep its shape. Well done!
A bit heavy
From Anonymous of Honolulu, Hawaii on 6/6/2015.
Works great with the Zippy. Fit is good. It can be adjusted to the curve of your back by bending the two aluminum stays. I previously used a sheet of closed cell foam but it was not that rigid compared to the Omni. Significant weight increase but it will help if hauling a heavier than usual load.It is worth the price.
From Paul Daly of Crieff, Scotland on 5/23/2015.
This just makes the Zippy even better. One issue I had was fitting the trip-glides through to the pack. The webbing used to hold them to the back is thicker than that on the pockets so it was harder to get them through the square D of the pack. Still great though.
Another quality Kifaru product

This is another Kifaru product that has met all expectations that we have come to expect from Kifaru
5/24/2016 – Can you place this frame sheet in your urban zippy and still fit a laptop with padded case in the bladder sleeve?
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Hi Daniel, Yes, you can fit both the Omni frame sheet and a laptop in the bladder sleeve of the pack.
3/2/2015 – will these work in the marauder? I think it would be a little short?
Response From Kifaru Intl.: The frame sheet is designed to fit in either the Zippy or X-Ray pack. The marauder has a pair of 19" stays in the pack. There is no need for the frame sheet.
2/22/2015 – What thickness are the aluminum stays? Are they permanently sewn into the Sheet (looks like they are)?
Response From Kifaru Intl.: The stays are 3/16" thick aircraft grade aluminum. The stays are easily removed from the bottom of the frame sheet.
2/21/2015 – Could you use this on a bikini frame with a cargo panel to make it as load hauler and for workouts?
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Specifically designed for the Zippy and Urban Zippy, the Omni Frame will add rigidity to the bag and allow for better carrying capability when need. The Omni Frame will also fit in the water bladder pocket of any Omni pack.
2/20/2015 – Can you still run a water bladder with the frame sheet in the bladder pocket?
Response From Kifaru Intl.: You can run up to a three liter bladder.
