Best upgrade for any pack
From Nick of Dahlonegah, Georgia on 1/13/2017.
I used this to serve as sleeping system storage on my Spec Ops brand ALICE pack. I bought the medium size and it easily fits my Recon 3 sleeping bag, bivy sack, and snugpak fleece liner all in an OR compression sack. I wish they made a "large" size.

Absolutely ingenious!! Just retired from the Army and had no clue about this company! I so wish I knew about these products when I deployed!! Great stuff and bomb proof! Only negative I would give is Kifaru is making me poor!! Lol

I purchased a medium roll top pod to use as a sleeping bag compartment on my Nomad pack. I was hesitant about ordering the pod because I was unsure if a medium would hold my -20 degree slick bag, but a large is not offered. Turns out, my worries were unfounded, the bag, in a stuff sack, fits into the medium pod with enough room to fold the edge 3 times.I also am impressed with how securely the pod system connects to my pack frame. It is just 4 split buckles, but when attached to the frame, you can really cinch the pod down tight. Overall, this is another good design from Kifaru.
A Better Pod
From Regnar of Winchester, Virginia on 4/28/2015.
I purchased the small roll top pod to allow me more options in increasing my load capacity for rucksacks as needed. The small roll top pod fits two rolled up Thermarest sleep pads to give you an approximation of the volume. I like the lighter weight of the 400D weight over the older 1000D pods and the roll top that keeps your items secure. Kifaru's line of pods and pouches offers a bombproof and convenient method for tailoring the load capacity of smaller rucksacks like the Pointman or Xing. The pods and pouches also work well with the duplex frame by itself or with other non-Kifaru rucksacks. I have used Kifaru products for about 5 years now and they are still going strong on the trail and on my hunts. The Kifaru logo of a rhinoceros is well earned.
Great...Use your imagination!!
From Ron Anderson of Bend, Oregon on 2/12/2015.
Again the Kifaru Video's help but you should use your creativity and imagination for best uses, depending on the load. Heavy duty...and nice work...
5/15/2016 – I am looking at options to expand the storage on a Tahr pack, would this mount well/cleanly beneath the Tahr pack on a 26" . . .
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Hi Matt,Yes, our roll top pods (small or medium) will mount well under the Tahr pack. The meat shelf will still be accessible as well.
5/13/2016 – Will the Small pod fit a Doobie without a compression sack?
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Hi Andrew,Yes, a doobie will fit in a small pod without a compression sack.
3/2/2016 – I want to put a 40 degree bag and a pad in a pod. I am considering using a 20 degree bag and a pad in a pod.What . . .
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Hi John,I would suggest using our medium sized roll top pod. This will be the best option since you are considering using it for a 20 degree bag. You can compress the pod by rolling up the excess fabric when packing the 40 degree bag.
