season camping. Kifaru pioneered lightweight, collapsible stoves
years ago as a practical, easy way to heat our shelters. They are
still among the lightest, most compact backcountry wood stoves ever
crafted - a great feature if you backpack, mush or use bush planes.
This Ultralight furnace helps dry your gear, and heats our shelters
in minutes, transforming your outing into a warm, relaxing,
One of our
most significant designs are the pipes. A single titanium pipe tube
provides easy packing and less weight. Remarkably, a 9 foot
pipe can roll down into a 2 X 14 tube.

Nothing better than coming back to this at night or in the rain while in the woods. Performs as advertised!
Smith Cylinder Stove is awesome
From Matt G of Ft. Collins, Colorado on 1/25/2017.
This little stove packs down small and is light in the pack. First time set up is not bad, after that it's easy to do. The heat from the stove is a game changer for me. I use it with the with a megatarp and it's great for drying out wet gear/clothes and keeping warm. If weight is a concern and you want to run a stove this is the stove to buy.

Weight and pack size meets posted specs. Requires first time assembly at home and test burn. First assembly would be difficult in the field. Watch the youtube videos Kifaru uses to set up. Overall pretty happy, but need more field use to give a proper review.
Great little stove
From Daniel Sprague of Westminster, Colorado on 7/28/2015.
The stove is lightweight, fairly user friendly, and burns hot! Set up and tear down isn't exactly easy/quick but it is definitely worth it's weight in gold if the temperature drops. Overall, I'm very happy with the stove.

great little stove light weight doesn't take up much room when packed just wish it had a better way to chock it down for a longer burn. but all in all a great stove
3/3/2016 – I'm interested in purchase the 18" cylinder stove and want to know the different in shelter options? Why does the price increase . . .
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Hi Jahmal,The 18" smith cylinder stove is compatible with our tarps (paratarp, supertarp, and megatarp), paratipi, sawtooth, 4 man tipi, and 6 man tipi. The cost may increase depending on the shelter used because the stove pipe is longer on certain shelters. The longer stove pipes are more expensive.
2/21/2016 – Can you tell me how the Smith cylinder stove packs up (in a bag, dimensions etc...)? Can a picture be provided? I am considering . . .
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Hi Mike,The cylinder stove when packed in the carry case is 20" x 12" x 2 1/2".
