This is the ticket for backpack hunters!

It seemed like a lot of money for a tarp, but I found it to be well worth it. It takes up almost no room in your pack. I carry trekking poles for packing out meat and for use with this tarp, but sticks would also work fine. It has plenty of room for one person including gear spread out everywhere. As soon as I have a fall or spring season hunt planned, I plan on buying the awning and a stove. I love Kifaru stuff!
Archery hunting palace

This was exactly what I needed. Weighs nothing with plenty of solo room. Very strong material. Kept 5 hrs of rain followed by 2" of snow away.

I just purchased my super tarp with annex and stove. I absolutely love it, light weight, well built.
SuperTarp will do it all!!
From Jeremiah Morgan of Weston, West Virginia on 7/7/2016.
Although with limited use so far, without question I love the ST. It is roomy enough for a base camp setup, and is light enough and packs so small it is an ideal for backpacking/Bivy hunting! The only reason I gave 4/5 stars and not 5, is that some of the stitching pulled a little bit around the spot where the top of the front pole meets the tarp. With that said it was totally my fault for pitching it extremely too tight. I highly recommend the ST!! I love mine.
Ten Years - Going Strong
From Anonymous of Thermopolis, Wyoming on 4/27/2016.
Have a SuperTarp w/Parastove & Annex used all over the different mountain ranges of Wyoming over the last ten years. I hunt early season rifle deer and archery elk; generally solo with four pack llamas. Incredible shelter in every sense of the word for early season, high altitude hunting.
Recommended, 100%!! 1 man Palace!
From Terry Worrell of Peters Creek, Alaska on 9/20/2015.
I used the Super Tarp with annex on a fly in moose/caribou and can't recommend it enough! It held up to high winds, days of rain, a wet heavy snow and came through it all unscathed. I found myself wishing I had sprung for the stove to round out this great package and intend to get it before next season! The setup I used was lighter than a pair of boots and packed to a ridiculously small size. Shipping was prompt and fast. Again, if you value high quality, low weight and quick setup for a 1-2 person shelter you can't go wrong.
Back packers best friend HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
From USMC Vet of Castle Rock, Colorado on 11/24/2014.
I have been using my Tarp for almost 2 yrs it has withstood high winds, brutal snow storms and rain. Its extremely versatile, light weight and durability is incredible, plus it compress's into an area no bigger than a book.I also have used the Annex with it which is of the same build material a must for winter. My tarp had contact with the hot stove pipe one day it melted it a bit but the material even with a hole in it at a high stress point still maintained its strength due to the rip stop. Had it patched up by Kifaru and its like new again. Worth every penny.

Awesome, got it with the annex and parastove. lightweight and solid.
5/31/2016 – I was wondering if the Annex works for both the Para tarp and super tarp or is there separate sizes for each?
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Hi Devin,The paratarp and supertarp use different annexes.
2/26/2016 – What would you do if when pitching the tarp the ground was wet or snow covered? Is there a ground cloth you recommend?
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Hi Eli,Since our shelters are floorless, you will have to be mindful of where you are pitching the shelter. If you are forced to pitch the shelter on wet ground or snow, then Tyvek house wrap works great as a cheap lightweight ground sheet.
2/17/2016 – Is there a mosquito net available for this shelter?
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Hi Shawn,We do not offer mosquito netting for our tarps. We recommend using a bug bivy if mosquitoes and bugs are a concern.
2/17/2016 – What is the distance between poles?
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Hi Shawn,The distance between the poles is approximately 8 ft.
12/11/2015 – If I bought this tarp without the annex could I come back later and buy the annex separately?
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Yes, we sell the annexes separately as well. They can be purchased at this link: https://store.kifaru.net/tarp-annex-p95.aspx
6/27/2015 – Is there a specific length of trek pole that is needed for your supertarp.
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Thank you for contacting Kifaru with your question, I'll be happy to help. As long as your trekking pole adjusts to 52" or 132.5 centimeters then you will be good to go.
3/29/2014 – How much weight does the annex add to the weight of the super tarp?
Response From Kifaru Intl.: Richard,The annex weighs in right at 5 ozAny other questions please let me know.v/rJoe
